The general duties of a security guard at a church usually include protecting the facility, employees and members from theft, fire, vandalism or other criminal activity. Most security guards patrol the premises including the parking areas and buildings.
Each week our Hospitality Team welcomes first time visitors to come meet the Emmanuel Apostolic Church leaders and enjoy refreshments. Join us in making all our guests feel at home. The Hospitality Team serves by preparing refreshments and welcoming all new comers.
Ushers service the needs of the church family prior to and during worship services and special events, i.e., greet at sanctuary entrances, receive offerings, distribute promotional materials and literature, distribute and collect registration forms, etc.
The Greeting Team serves to greet and welcome individuals into every Sunday and Wednesday Service. There are a total of four different teams that serve anywhere from 2-3 times a month. Teams meet 30 minutes before services start and are at the doors 15 minutes to begin greeting.
Parking ministry serves come rain or shine. Parking Ministry directs all incoming traffic on Sunday mornings, helping navigate first time visitors to reserved parking as well as welcome everyone in. The team meets 30 minutes before services begin and are on a monthly rotation, though many voluntarily serve on a weekly basis.
Information Desk is manned during every service. Our Information Desk Volunteers familiarize themselves with the church and activities to help guide and answer any questions. Volunteers arrive 30 minutes prior to the service to read any updates for that day’s events and prepare the desk.
